What Is This Course About?

The Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Course is designed for healthcare professionals who direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies, as well as personnel involved in emergency response.

This advanced-level training builds on foundational life support skills and prepares providers to manage complex cardiac and respiratory emergencies with confidence and precision.

What Does This Course Teach?

Participants will develop advanced knowledge and practical skills, including:

  • Basic life support skills, including high-quality chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device, and AED use
  • Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
  • Recognition, early management, and treatment of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia and tachyarrhythmias
  • Airway management
  • Related pharmacology
  • Management of acute coronary syndromes (ACS) and stroke
  • Effective communication as both a member and leader of a resuscitation team
